Highfield Historic Site

 Commercial  : Highfield Historic Site

143 Highfield, Green Hills Rd, Stanley TAS 7331

The site consists of several significant buildings including Highfield House, Highfield Chapel, two workers cottages and some outbuildings.  The site is of cultural significance and is a working tourist attraction and venue hire catering for functions and events.

The design needed careful consideration and whilst code compliant facilities were badly needed on the site, conservation of the building and the overall aesthetics were similarly critical.  A sympathetic modification was required.

The works included in this project were amenities additions to the Highfield Barn and the card shed modifications.

The staged re-development project took 6 months to complete. In this time Stubbs Constructions demonstrated their experience and ability to think on our feet.

Daily site discussions between Stubbs Constructions and the client, relating to proposed works and impacted work areas, allowed the work to be undertaken safely with all site-based personnel knowing the game plan and working together to achieve, what we believe, is an excellent result in terms of function and features.
