
Burnie Surf Club Alterations and Additions was a $3, 000, 000
project designed by Architect Scott Verdouw of JAWS Architects
Hobart. The alterations include major demolition work to the
45 year old structure to make way for equipment storage, change
rooms, public toilets and casual restaurant on the ground floor
and Gymnasium, Function Rooms and Fine Dining Restaurant on
the first floor. The project received the Master Builders Association
(MBA) of Tasmania Excellence award for “Workmanship” and
RAIA of Tasmania Award.
